Critical Thinking (Postgraduate) In-Person

What do your lecturers mean when they ask you to critically analyse, discuss or assess something? This two-hour workshop series will develop your analytical skills by exploring what it means to be a critical thinker and how to analyse a text critically.  

This workshop runs over four Tuesdays: 24, 31 July, 7, 14 August. You are expected to attend all four sessions and it is very important to attend the first session. If you cannot attend the first session, please email Student Learning (student-learning@vuw.ac.nz).

  • individual 50-minute appointments to assist your study,
  • academic writing and maths and statistics
  • 15-minute express appointments with a learning adviser at Victoria Info Ihonui, Level 2 Library entrance, the Hub, 10am–2pm, Monday to Friday
  • a Māori Learning adviser to support Māori students in their studies
  • a Pasifika learning adviser to support Pasifika students in their studies.
