FGR Doctoral Induction: Compulsory Sessions In-Person

Doctoral Induction comprises several sessions (some compulsory and some voluntary) and will be delivered across the period of about a week. The sessions will be delivered on Zoom in our Zoom Room: https://vuw.zoom.us/j/4431113840.

 

This registration covers the three compulsory sessions:

  • Welcome and getting off to the best start (2-5pm, Wednesday 24 March)
  • Core requirements: Managing your candidature, Academic integrity and Establishing and maintaining a productive supervisory relationship (1-4pm, Thursday 25 March)
  • Human Ethics (3-4pm, Monday 29 March)

If you are able to demonstrate to that you will not be working with human participants, information or tissue in the course of your doctoral project, you may be permitted an exemption from this session. Please email lizzie.towl@vuw.ac.nz with your case for the exemption.

 

We are offering, also, a series of sessions which are not compulsory, but which you may find very useful as you embark upon your doctoral study. You are welcome to register for as many of these sessions as you like using the relevant Libcal link. The sessions are as follows:
