Introduction to OpenRefine Online
OpenRefine is a free, open-source powerful tool for working with messy data: cleaning it; transforming it from one format into another; and extending it with web services and external data. This introductory, follow-along workshop will demonstrate how it can help you:
- Get an overview of a data set and resolve inconsistencies;
- split data up into more granular parts; match local data up to other data sets;
- and enhance a data set with data from other sources
Important note: this is a hands-on workshop, it is essential participants follow the following set up instructions before the lesson:
