Software Carpentry - Day 1 *POSTPONED* Online

Software Carpentry aims to help researchers get their work done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic research computing skills. This hands-on workshop will cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems.
Focus for the training over the two days will be:
Day One:
- Bash for Beginners - navigating files and folders and automating tasks using the command line - http://swcarpentry.github.io/shell-novice/

Day Two

Date and Time - Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd April - 8:30am - 5:00pm
NOTE - This is a hands-on workshop. A personal laptop will be required to participate and having two monitors available is strongly encouraged.
