The art of structuring a thesis (Online) In-Person
This is a 50-minute interactive workshop designed to support postgrads, especially those in the Humanities, Design, and theory-focused disciplines, who are working on research proposals or trying to find a clear shape for their thesis. Whether you're gathering your thoughts, drafting early chapters, or feeling a little stuck about how to sequence your chapters, this session is for you. Come for an opportunity to think through the overall structure of your work and sketch a basic outline or Table of Contents for your thesis. We'll look at examples of non-experimental thesis structures used by past VUW students. Time permitting, we will include a short peer feedback activity to help you reflect on your ideas with a fresh perspective. You’ll leave with a rough outline, a bit more clarity, and a template you can continue working with.
