Countering technology-facilitated harm researchers In-Person

This is growing issue affecting researchers and academics, especially those working on topics that relate to public health, climate change, the LGBTQ community, te ao Māori, migration and topics of combating technology-facilitated harm itself.

The harm can be spreading false or misleading information, harassing, trolling and threatening behaviour, organised campaigns or ‘pile ons’ or many other nasty types of behaviour.

This workshop is for early-career researchers and other academics who are interested in public engagement and media commentary.

This workshop is aimed at those in early-career researchers and other academics who are interested in public engagement and media commentary, and working in vulnerable areas.  It will provide both a clear overview of the impact of technology – facilitated harm, and information about the guidance, support and tools available at the University help.
