Supporting academics against technology-facilitated harm In-Person / Online
- Technology-facilitated harm is growing. It can target researchers and academics, especially (but not limited to) those working on topics that relate to public health, climate change, the LGBTQ community, te ao Māori, migration and topics of combating technology-facilitated harm itself.
- It can take the form of spreading false or misleading information, harassing, trolling and threatening behaviour, organised campaigns or ‘pile ons’. It has, at times, moved from the online world to the physical one.
- Academics need help and support with identifying and mitigating risk, and dealing with harm when it arises
